Crownstone is a product of the eponymous dutch startup, which brings together indoor localization with automation. Using BLE the Crownstone can focalize the current position of persons wearing applicable devices such as smart phones, watches, smart wristlets or others.
Knowing the position of the person in one household the Crownstone can:
- help saving energy by switching off devices,
- support the every-day-life controlling lightning, heating and other devices,
- react on unusual events,
- prevent children from dangerous situations by not allowing them to use certain home appliances.
The Crownstone is available as a plug or as a built-in device.
