EMW Exhibition & Media Wehrstedt GmbH is an organizer of specialized trade fairs in the field of internal and homeland security and the publisher of a specialized magazine for police technology. Owner and CEO is Dr. Uwe H. Wehrstedt. After his career as an army officer he started with a publishing business in 1993. Six years later he established his exhibition company and run his first own trade fair in 2000. EMW Exhibition & Media Wehrstedt GmbH organizes two own trade fairs: 1. GPEC General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference® (www.gpec.de/en/), International Exhibition & Conferences for Internal Security, bi-annual in Germany; next: 11th GPEC®, 18 - 20 February 2020, Frankfurt Main, Germany 2. GPEC® digital (www.gpecdigital.com/en/), International Exhibition & Conferences for Digitization of Internal Security, yearly, in even years as section of GPEC® and in odd years separat in Berlin GPEC® is Europe's leading closed specialized trade fair for members of authorities only with 581 exhibitors from 32 countries and 7.742 visitors from 63 countries in 2018. For many years, the patron is the German Federal Minister of the Interior. Specialized conferences on internal security and combating crime, organized in co-operation with two leading police officer unions in Germany, complete the current exhibition and conference pro-gramme of EMW. EMW is owner and publisher of pvt POLIZEI VERKEHR + TECHNIK, the only independent po-lice technology and management magazine in the German speaking area. EMW’s publishing services include the exclusive advertising sales agency of griephan, a weekly newsletter on defence and homeland security which is part of the DVV Media Group.
